JANICE JACOBS COLLABORATOR

Janice holds a PhD in Psychoeducational Processes with a focus in organization development. She has been a professor and student of leadership for thirty years. Her career reflects her purpose: the holistic development of employees and the organizations they serve. As graduate chair of the MA in Leadership and program director of MS in Management and Leadership at Immaculata University, she wrote, developed and brought both programs to market. Janice was appointed affiliated faculty in the University of Pennsylvania’s graduate program in Organizational Consulting and Executive Coaching where she taught and supervised the development of executive coaches in the area of coaching and organization change. Previous to working in education, she was Director of Organization Development & Training of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia where she focused her energies on the leadership development and training of managers and supervisors, part of a systems-wide effort to develop the culture of the organization. Prior to this, Dr. Jacobs practiced family therapy in a psychiatric setting.

Besides her teaching, Janice currently consults to organizations in the areas of executive coaching, team-building and strategic planning—all of which are critical to culture change. She has facilitated group leadership intensives as a consultant to industry and has run master level courses utilizing a similar method for over twenty years. She has written facilitator and learner guides, “Leadership, Motivation & the Performance Process” and “Communication & Conflict”, both of which are still in use. She continues to teach at Immaculata and partners on special projects with ACHIEVE.
